Oathtaking Ceremony of the Officers of FFCCCII

President Benigno S. Aquiuno III administered the oath of office of the new officers of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. in Malacanang.

In a simple ceremony, the President led the oath-taking of the new board members, chairmen and vice-chairmen of the 16 working committees, and regional directors of FFCCCII. President Aquino also received from Mr. Tan Ching, President of FFCCCII, a scale model of a two-classroom building which represents the 454 two-classroom school building or a total of 908 classrooms that the organization pledges to the government.

In his speech the President expressed his heart-felt thanks for the assistance that the FFCCCII gives for the country’s youth. He further said that the government’s goal is to construct 1,926 classrooms and that with the help of the federation, more buildings can be built. He also said that his vision is to see the youth of today to have a more suitable learning environment. He also added that with the help of FFCCCII, through the assistance that it gives to young generation, the Philippines faces a stronger future.
